Peaceful Place is inspired by my home and the small rural community of farmlets that surrounds it in the Northern Rivers.
I’m drawn not only to the natural beauty of this landscape, but to the peaceful, gentle rhythm of life here. Rather than depicting the place literally, I wanted to capture something of how it feels to me — the light, colour, quiet and sense of belonging that comes from knowing a place deeply.
Through abstraction, the landscape becomes less about a particular view and more about our emotional connection to place — and the feeling of finding somewhere that simply feels like home.
