Description
Swirl is a large vase with a distinct silhouette, colouration and personality. Substantial in weight, smooth in texture and bold in pattern, Swirl will inject a fresh pop sensibility into any setting. Made using recycled powdered marble residue, the vase is inspired by Ikebana, which is the Japanese art of flower arrangement.
The unique process with which Swirl is made involves recycling the powdered residue from the marble industry, mixing it with pigment and resin to create blocks of material that can then be sawn, sliced and turned on a lathe. Due to the nature of the pigmentation, each piece features a unique pattern due to the pouring process.
